The Jet JWSS-22B is a benchtop scroll saw built around one standout feature: a blade change system that’s faster than almost anything else on the market. It’s compact, runs quietly, and delivers smooth cuts with minimal vibration.
Unlike some older Jet models, the JWSS-22B does not include a stand. It’s a benchtop unit, so you’ll need your own workbench or table. Jet does sell separate stand bundles — a universal stand and a flip-top stand — but those are additional purchases.
Jet JWSS-22B Scroll Saw Features
Blade Change System: This is the highlight of the JWSS-22B. The upper blade holder clamps and tensions the blade in a single step — no thumb screws, no fiddling with a tension knob. The lower blade holder is toolless and removable, and the table has a slot so you can thread the blade through without removing your workpiece. The saw comes with three blade holders, so you can pre-load your most-used blades and swap between them quickly. It also accepts both plain-end and pin-end blades, with adaptors included for pin-end.
Table: The table is cast iron, measuring 12-7/8″ x 23″. It provides a stable, flat surface with minimal vibration during operation. Because the saw arm tilts instead of the table, your work surface stays level at all times — you angle the cut by tilting the arm, not by repositioning your workpiece.
Speed and Tilt: Variable speed runs from 400 to 1,550 strokes per minute. The arm tilts 40 degrees to the left and 45 degrees to the right, giving you a wide range for angled cuts.
Storage: Integrated blade storage with slots for pre-loaded blades and a built-in wrench sits right on the machine. You can position this storage rack on either the left or right side depending on you
